Hi! I'm Dae Storm. I'm a long time writer and artist who has a love for creating book covers and graphics. In fact, I have made so many over the years that I have simply too many to ever use myself. I decided earlier this year, 2024, to finally start selling premade covers to help provide me some income as a disabled person for whom income is complicated.Many indie authors want book covers that are quality made as well as fit genre trends, but are unable to afford custom cover work. I consider my premade covers to lie between the very inexpensive simple covers, and the expensive detailed covers. My covers are simple with small quality details and are fairly inexpensive.All of my covers are made with photos and assets that are licensed for commercial use up to 500,000 print copies and unlimited electronic copies. I never use the same main stock photo/s for more than one cover so that your cover is as unique to you as possible.Covers by Storm are made with absolutely NO AI whatsoever.

PREMADE POLICY AGREEMENT

This Agreement is entered into by and between Covers by Storm ("Covers by Storm") and YOU (“Client”) in accordance to the following:TERMS AND CONDITIONS• 100% of the invoice MUST be paid before the order is started.
• Covers by Storm does NOT offer refunds after delivery of cover.
• Design process typically takes 1-3 days but may take longer for larger or multiple projects.
• All minor* revisions after delivery are FREE.*minor revisions include edits to text, font, vignette, and cover warmth or coolness.CONFIDENTIALITY1. All client information and materials are considered confidential and only for use by Covers by Storm to complete an order. Client information and project materials will not be given out or shared with any third party, unless otherwise requested by the client.OWNERSHIP RIGHTS2. Upon receipt of full payment, Covers by Storm grants the Client exclusive license to use the final cover design artwork (PDF, PNG, JPEG, and other publishing-ready format) for their book and/or e-book cover and print cover.3. The Client understands that they have no right to alter the final cover design in any way except to change size for printing or digital display. If the client desires any alterations, they will consult Covers by Storm. The Client understands that additional payments may be required to make these alterations.4. The Client agrees to abide by the terms of any license agreement for any images purchased by Covers by Storm through a third-party image provider for use in Client’s book cover design.4 a) The cost of the premade designs includes the license to use these images and is limited to a print run of 500,000 units.4 b) For books with a print run over 500,000 additional licensing fees may apply. The photographer owns the copyright to the original photographs and they cannot be distributed in any manner other than in the book cover design.5. Covers by Storm retains copyright and ownership of all design and draft materials.6. Access to the PSD is not automatically granted with payment for design work. Covers by Storm retains the right to refuse payment for the PSD files.7. Covers by Storm owns all intellectual copyrights to the design. Client must first contact Covers by Storm and gain permission to allow recreation or continuation of the design by someone other than Covers by Storm.ATTRIBUTION8. Covers by Storm requests that the Client attributes the design of the cover to "Covers by Storm" on the copyright page of the book.CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES9. Client is fully responsible for proofing the book cover provided by Covers by Storm. It is highly suggested that the Client requests a proof copy from their printer before publishing or ordering any final copies of the book.10. Covers by Storm will at no time be held financially or legally responsible for any problems, costs, fees or expenses incurred by the Client as a result of using the book cover design.11. The Client is required to have filled out the preorder form and paid their invoice in full before their cover will be created and/or edited.12. The Client agrees to be prepared and active to answer any follow-up questions from Covers by Storm.13. The Client acknowledges that Covers by Storm will work to avoid AI-Generated images at all costs.13 a.) Covers by Storm agrees to remake any cover that is found to have unknowingly used an AI-Generated image at no cost to the Client at any time in the future.14. Any eBook cover errors or revisions must be submitted to be fixed within 72 hours of the final design being delivered.14 a.) Any print cover errors with print coloration and tone must be submitted to be fixed within six months of the final design being delivered.14 b.) The Client acknowledges that certain errors may be a result of the printer and not the design, and therefore may not be able to be fixed.15. The Client understands that they get unlimited minor revisions within the aforementioned time frames.16. The Client acknowledges that Covers by Storm can change their terms and conditions to best suit the business without informing the Client.LIABILITY17. Covers by Storm is not liable for incidental, indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind, including loss of revenues or profits, loss of business or reputation, or loss of data, in any way related to our services.18. Covers by Storm is not responsible for any claim, loss, or injury based on errors or any other inaccuracies appearing on our site or in our clients’ written documents, including without limitation as a result of any breach of the terms and conditions of this agreement.19. The Client acknowledges that their approval of a design is final, and they take ownership of the work created between themselves and Covers by Storm.PAYMENT20. Any payments made through Covers by Storm's PayPal Invoice are non-refundable after delivery of cover.21. Covers by Storm does not give refunds on any payment made on any cover that has been delivered.22. Covers by Storm will not deliver finished files to the Client or other parties until final payment has been received.22 b.) Covers by Storm retains the right to discontinue, withhold, or suspend services for any account should payments not be paid.22 c.) Covers by Storm remains owner of the final files until final payment.23. Payment does not authorize the Client access to PSD files.24. Prices are subject to change at Covers by Storm's discretion.25. Covers by Storm does not need to notify clients of these changes to the business.26. Payments are made through PayPal via an invoice.CANCELLATION POLICY27. The Client or Covers by Storm may cancel orders and agreements at any time by providing written notice to the other party.28. If either Client or Covers by Storm cancels a project before work has started, neither the Client nor Covers by Storm is under further obligation to the other, and agreements will be considered canceled.29. If the project is canceled by the Client after payment has been made, the Client agrees to a 50% deduction from their original payment refund. This is to cover time and work that may have already been expended.30. If the project is canceled by Covers by Storm after payment has been made, the Client will receive a 100% refund.31. Prices are non-negotiable.32. Any issues the Client may have with any aspect of Covers by Storm must be brought to their attention so that the issue at hand can be dealt with in a timely and respectful manner.33. The Client agrees that the book that they have ordered a cover design for is not written or in any way created with the use or help of AI Generation.34. Covers by Storm strives to create a positive relationship with Clients and will always seek to resolve conflict respectfully and in a timely manner.COMPLETE AGREEMENT35. This agreement is the entire agreement of all parties. No additional promises or conditions, written or oral, apply to this agreement that are not included herein.36. Errors do not affect the contract.37. These terms and conditions are non-negotiable.38. The Client agrees to the terms set out in the contract by Covers by Storm.39. It is the client’s responsibility to read the terms and conditions listed out by Covers by Storm.40. By paying the invoice sent by Covers by Storm, you are agreeing to these terms outlined.
